Waiting

Psalm 27:14, "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD."

Psalm 33:20, "We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield."

Well, we made it through the night, with some small improvements early this morning in his CO2 levels. He is still in the same dangerous place as last night, so we continue to wait and pray. It was a very difficult night to say the least, but that doesn't change the fact that God is in control and is holding our baby Isaac in His loving hands.

We ask for continued prayer for Isaac, and also for strength and comfort for Patience and I (and family) in the waiting.

Thank you for your continued prayer, support, and encouragement.

Oh my goodness, my thoughts are with you guys!! I can't get your situation off of my mind. I'm checking this blog every few minutes in the hopes of hearing good news.

I want you to know that I am in awe of how total and complete your faith in God is. I'm not sure that I personally could be as strong as you have been. You've set an example of what it truly means to entrust everything to Him.

Like everyone else who has posted a comment, Mark and I are praying for the three of you.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, your perfect love is casting out fear.
And even though I'm caught in the middle of the storms of this life, I won't turn back I know you are near, and I will fear no evil, for my God is with me, and if my God is with me, whom then shall I fear, whom then shall I fear.
Oh no, you never let go, through the calm and through the storm, oh no you never let go, in every high and every low.
Oh no, you never let go, Lord, you never let go of me.
I can see the light that is coming for the heart that holds on, and there will be an end to these troubles but until that day comes, still I will praise you, still I will praise you.
Oh no, you never let go, through the calm and through the storm, oh no you never let go, in every high and every low.
Oh no, you never let go, Lord, you never let go of me.

I do not know you--- but i am a mother- and seeing that sweet angelic face made my heart melt. Whenever i see my child's face or the face of another baby i think of your son and say a little prayer. You and your wife are very strong and God is going to hold you tight as you go through this valley with your little boy. God bless you three!

We are continuing to lift you up in our prayers. And although my heart is crying and I'm holding my breath I am reminded that God knows exactly what baby Isaac needs. He knows what you need also. He's there with you every step of the way. Lean on Him. You are a wonderful witness to Christ. Blessings to you.

We've sung these words so many times...Now we lift them up as a prayer...

“Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won’t grow weary”

Scriptural Reference:
Isaiah 40:28-31

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

You are truly blessed. As I read the comments made from one blog to the next, I see God's confirmation of how He is in control of the situation.

Patience and Jordan, your faith and faithfulness to serve God with all out intensity is very evident. God is now demonstrating to you how your servanthood has blessed His cause. He is moving on your's and Isaac's behalf in a mighty and awesome way. The multitude of responses you have received demonstates that loud and clear.

I am so happy for the both of you. There is no doubt in my mind that this precious little angel of yours is going to do a powerful work for the glory of God. No wonder why the enemy has been trying to hard to keep him down. Isaac is here to do a mighty work for the Kingdom of God - and he will!

Pai and Jordan, Below is a message from a young girl that I work with in my ministry here in Nashville. All 40 of the girls here are praying continuously for Issac.

Hello, I am a resident from Mercy Ministries. I just wanted to let you know I'm praying for your family. I feel like baby Isaac is my little brother or something because my heart has grown to care about him so much. He is in my prayers numerous times daily. I know his little body is fragile and weak but I believe and know that God will step in and be his strength. I am fighting for him through thoughts and prayers.

What a mix of emotions...tears for your pain...tears as I remind God of what so many have asked and what His word says...tears of joy in seeing the power of the love of Jesus for your boy and family in the outpouring of support. I have never seen anything quite like it...We praise you Lord for the life you created and that you have a hope and a future for Isaac that was planned for him since before he was ever conceived. We thank you God that even though our minds cannot understand our spirits rise up because your truth lives in us and you are The Strong God. No devil in hell can hush that truth from rising up in your children and we thank you, once again, for your delivering hand upon this sweet baby and family.
