Out of surgery! Now, a new phase in prayer...

Isaac has made it through the surgery! Dr. Mill just came back to tell us that everything went as expected & the operation was a success. There were no surprises in the O.R. & as Dr. Valley (the anesthesiologist) said, considering the severity of this operation, Isaac tolerated it extremely well. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS STRENGTH & FAITHFULNESS!!

The next 24 hours are extremely critical as anything can happen! We're out of the O.R., but we're not in the clear yet. Please continue to pray as this next phase is just as risky as being on the table. Pray for healing. Pray for protection against infection. Pray that all of Isaac's levels remain steady & strong. Pray for wisdom with the nurses caring for him. Pray for supernatural comfort for Isaac as his body begins to heal. Pray for a miracle with his diaphragm. Pray the genetics labs come back clear. Pray for our sweet boy!

You don't know me but I am a fellow heart mommy. Many of the things your little Isaac is going through Brandon did as well. He has what was called Transposition of the Great Vessels, it is where the pulmonary and aorta grow to the wrong side of the heart. He had open heart at 5 days of life. The rest is pretty long and I am willing to share if you have questions from someone that has been there. He is now 7 years old and is heart is doing great.

Again I am glad the surgery went well. The next few days will be some of the hardest yet. It gets better though as each day goes by and more tubes are removed one by one.

I will be praying for your little boy just as many people prayed for mine. If you have questions, you can email me at twixed_out@yahoo.com

We are so happy that Isaac is on this side of surgery #1. The days ahead are going to be long and hard, but God will be there to support you and strengthen you. You are a testimony to so many people, and Isaac will be able to tell that testimony years from now.

We are praying for you all day everyday! Makayla sends hugs and kisses (even to you Jordan!)

As the song says...

Standing here in Your presence
Thinking of the good things You have done
Waiting here patiently
Just to hear Your still small voice again
Hopy, righteous,faithful to the end
Savior, healer, redeemer and friend

I will worship You for who You are
I will worship You for who You are
Jesus

My soul secure
Your promise sure
Your love endures always

Praise God...Our family will continue to pray for your family.

Isaiah 43
Israel's Only Savior
But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior

You do not know me and it really doesn't matter who I am.

As I read you quoting the word of God over your precious Issac I began to weep and intercede for your entire family and these are the words from God's word that came up inside of me. I believe that Issac will stand one day before thousands and declare what the Lord has done!!

Psalm 118:17 - I will not die, but I will live and tell what the Lord has done......(Issac)

Jeremiah 1:4,5 - The Lord spoke his word to me (Issac), Before I formed you in the womb (Issac), I knew you. Before you were born (Issac), I set you apart for my holy purpose.

Psalm 62:1,2 - My soul waits calmly for God alone. My salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my savior - my stronghold. I cannot be severely shaken.

Psalm 30:11,12 - You have changed my sobbing into dancing, You have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy so that my soul may praise you with music and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

Jeremiah 1:12 - Then the Lord said to me, "Right. I am watching to make sure that my words come true."

Isaiah 55:11 - My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results, but it will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do."

Keep speaking the word of God as you have been doing. Saying what God says about you two and Issac. God's word is alive...brings life to those who speak it. You are doing an awesome job as parents!! Issac is a very blessed baby with parents who know how to fight his spiritual battles for him. :o)for baby Issac!

Praise God! Isaac continues to show us every day through his strength and courage that "through God all things are possible!". What an amazing and precious miracle your son is, and I can't wait to see what God uses him for in the future! We continue to pray, and have your pics up to remind us that we are all called to be Isaac's armor bearers, as well as yours! Seeing your big smiles, despite the strain and fear you had to be feeling prior to surgery, is a perfect witness that you have placed Isaac in the Holy and strong hands of the ultimate Healer! Prayers continue to flood across the world for your family, and God hears every one!!! We love you!

Patience and Jordan,

I am Cryatal's aunt. On December 28,2006 my litle grandson was born at Duke with HLHS. He had his first surgery on December 30 and was finally able to come home on February l4. Jason and Sarah are his parents and his name is Noah. Seeing these pictures that you have posted remind me so much of what Noah looked like and his little room at the hospital. It is almost overwhelming to think of and see all the monitors and machines that are hooked up to these precious babies. But we know they are necessary. He came home with a feeding tube as a precaution, but he took care of that about 30 minutes after they got home. He managed to take it out himself. They have not had to re-insert it. He now weigh l0 pounts. I know the both of you have been through some dark hours with a lot of uncertainties. Just remember that God created that precious little Isaac. He makes no mistakes. He will give you the strength to face what lies ahead for you.God is in control of everything that goes on with Isaac. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Patience and Jordan,

"Distance and time can not erase the feelings meant and the moments faced. We are but a moment in God's eternal plan so lets make each moment as special as we can."

What your love for God, each other and your son, Isaac have reminded me so deeply of God's grace. He cares so very much for each of us that he has given each one a name that will identify us to him. Isaac has such a name and it truly is inspiring to hear about your "little warrior". I know these "Wonderfully Terrible" experiences forever change us for God's glory.

We love you all,

Dear Patience and Jordan,

The following is from Pastor Kathy Brunno, Slippery Rock, PA. After I sent her Mary Pfahlert's email request for your son, Pastor Kathy replied with this to me and I wanted to pass it on to you for encouragement!

Blessings and continued prayer,
Kay Pfahlert, (Mary Pfahlert's mother-in-law)

"I had received this email the other day and have prayed for healing, protection against infection and that all of Isaac's levels remain steady & strong. I agree with you for wisdom with the nurses caring for him and for supernatural comfort for Isaac as his body heals. I agree that the genetics labs will come back clear. God has set a hedge of protection around these wonderful parents, Patience and Jordan, from fear, anxiety & despair. * We are realizing more faith around the scripture: Romans 4:17 lately. Patience and Jordan: go ahead….and SPEAK to your son’s body parts…and declare their wholeness in the mighty name of Jesus! You be encouraged to speak words of LIFE over him…..and continue to worship and Thank Him for little Issac's complete recovery!

Just wanted to let you all know that our C3 small group lifted your precious baby boy up in prayer tonight. We are also praying for the two of you. Continue to call out to the Lord, El-Roi! He is the God who sees. He sees your past, present and your future. He loves you and has plans to prosper you and not harm you. Remember that the doctors have the science but the Lord has the power. Much love coming your way.
