Into the night...

So far tonight, Isaac's heartrate & CO2 levels have slowly been climbing, though not to the severe levels they were last night. Also, he has begun holding onto more fluid, increasing the severe edema again. Doctors are adjusting some meds to hopefully pull off some edema & provide greater stability to his heartrate. Isaac has shown great sensitivity to adjustments of levels, so they are making all necessary changes with great care & vigilance. The severity of Isaac's condition creates a very sensitive balancing act for his nurse & doctors as they proceed in moving him towards a better state. His night nurse spend several years working in cardiology, so she's extremely familiar with HLHS kids. This brings greater peace of mind to Jordan & I as we attempt to get some rest tonight in order to be ready for whenever we're needed.

How to pray tonight::
::for Isaac's heartrate, CO2 levels, & pH remain in safe ranges.
::that he would respond to meds, pulling fluid from the third space back into the vessels.
::for his kidneys - better levels & function in removing excess fluid from the body & thus removing the edema quickly so as not to become septic. Also, for protection from the negative side affects these meds can have.
::for wisdom for the nurses & doctors in caring for him & discovering what is causing these problems.

Thank you all for your steadfast, passionate prayers for our sweet boy & continued encouragement for Jordan & I. Doctors remain amazed that he's made it through thus far. To God be the glory! As one ofthem said earlier, "Miracles do still happen." We've seen God's hand at work today & are asking Him to continue in bringing our son through this valley. God is still in control! Let us pray!!!

I'm new to your blog and am going to go back through your archives. That will take some time, so I wanted you to know that I'm praying for your little boy. I pray that God watches over him and lays His healing hand on that precious, beautiful child.

I have been praying frequently for little Issac and his parents. I know that Jesus has him cradled in His precious, loving arms right now. Maybe when he is older, he will tell what that was like. God is in the healing business and the power of prayer is totally awsome. This little guy will teach us all lessons that we could only learn through him. Praise God and praise His Holy Name for His goodness, grace, mercy and favor. Thanks be to God.

Oh Sovereign LORD, We cry for Your help through the night. Be with the doctors and nurses and give them Your wisdom Lord for adjustments to Isaac's meds. Continue Your mighty work inside little Isaac " so that people may see and know, may consider and undertsnad, that the hand of the LORD has done this "
Oh LORD, we PRAISE Your Name through the watches of the night. You alone are worthy.
Give Jordan and Pa sleep, may they " rest secure in You " and renew their strength.

Praise the Lord for all that He has done so far! Psalm 107:20 (The Message) reads, "He spoke the word that healed you, that pulled you back from the brink of death." Exodus 15:26 (NLT), "I am the Lord who heals you."

The Martins sing a song called "It Came to Pass". The words that stick out to me from that song are the following:

"Sickness must be present
for healing to take place.
Lives must be broken
so they can be restored.

It didn't come to stay.
It came to pass.
The Lord will move that mountain
if we'll ask.
The trials that we see today
Won't last.
It didn't come to stay.
It came to pass."

We love you and are praying for you.

I'm thankful to hear that Isaac is not where he was the other night. I will be continuing to pray night and day for healing, comfort and strength. And also for the doctors that they can figure out why little Isaac body's is reacting the way that it is.

Taneha

I praise God for His healing hands. I praise Him that througout this most stressful night, and day, and into a new one, that He has held Isaac close to His heart. He has cradled you all, and I pray, not only for healing again for Isaac's body. But for strength and wisdom and peace for you and Jordan, and the doctors.

God is working in Isaac's life, this is so evident to me, and Isaac is working in all of ours.
I will continue to pray.

Kevin and I are continuously lifting you and Isaac up in prayer. Savanna prays for every day too. We love your family, and are so blessed to know you. God is holding your sweet baby in his arms, and giving him the comfort and strength he needs to continue fighting. God is healing Isaac, and we are so thankful for that. You both take care of yourselves, and we pray that God gives you comfort in this time of waiting.

I love you guys so much~ I'm praying steadfastly for Isaac and for God's power to be displayed in a mighty, mighty way! I'm amazed at the number of people who comment that they don't know you, but are praying. Or the comments of how they "somehow" got to your blog. That is GOD working his miracles. Isaac is touching so many. I'm still expecting miracles.

I praise God for the miracles He has done in Isaac over the past 2 days! He is mighty indeed! "IT IS OF THE LORD'S MERCIES THAT WE ARE NOT CONSUMED, FOR HIS COMPASSIONS FAIL NOT; THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING. GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS." Lam. 3:22,23 May His mercy, compassion and faithfulness rest on all 3 of you today. I am still praying that he will SHOW HIS POWER!

Patience,
I am reading in the Psalms and have come across a verse that describes you and Jordan.
Psalm 89:15 "Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence,O LORD."
I know you can feel HIS presence with you and your sweet baby Isaac and you are walking in HIS light.
But this verse is for the DR's "Let THEM know that YOU whose name is the LORD - that You alone are The Most High over all"

Grace and Peace to you and your family.

God has great plans for your son, this is why the pray is working so well. He does hear our prayers. However, the deceiver does not want God glorified so he tries to knock him down.

Your son is a child of God and is being blessed every day. As the scripture states "By His stripes we are healed"... your son is also healed in Jesus holy and precious name.

We pray that everything within his little body.. every cell, every incision, every chemical in his body from the top of his head to the tips of his toes are balanced in complete working order and healed. No weapon formed again him will prosper... Gods angels are around him and protecting his every breath.

We are standing in belief with you and standing in prayer with you and your family.

God grace and peace be with you all.

Patience & Jordan,
I am reminded of the verse,"Come to me all ye who are weary and find life burdensome, my yoke is easy and my burden light." Be still and know that I am God. This has been a journey like no other you have traveled, but God's love for you is real and He knows all that Isaac needs. May you be comforted during this time of trial. We love you and lift you up in prayer. Aunt Maureen

God is using you more than you know. Through your situation, I have regained an active prayer life. I know that He can do miracles, but have kind of gotten away from seeking Him in my everyday life. Your little boy has certainly had an impact on me and my family. I can't wait to hear what the Lord will do. Thank you for your updates. They have been a proven testimony of the Lord's work and faithfullness. You have unbelievable strength as you trust in the Lord with your sweet boy's life.

I do not know your family but have been asked to pray. I have asked everyone I can think of to pray for you and Isaac as I would beg the same for my children. MANY prayers are being said for you tonight. May God's healing hand lay heavily on Isaac and his strength be felt by each of you.

Blessings and prayers, prayers, prayers ~

It is amazing how this little guy who I have never met has already impacted my life so much. His immense courage and strength is already so evident. Your journey as parents and followers of Christ has helped guide me back to the Lord after years of drifting away. I don't know why it has taken a story like Isaac's to make me see the goodness of God, but I am so thankful to your son and to the both of you! Your steadfast faith is so inspirational, and I need you to know that your son has served a huge purpose in my life thus far. God bless, and I will continue to pray!!

SAT AFETERNOON...Know you must be by Isaac's side and experiencing God's mighty hand through each improvement. Corinne has TM that it is still touch and go. I have been praying and believeing Psalm 63 for you all day..."My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me."
He is your help therefore, we sing in the shadow of His wings...I can even hear Jordan on the keyboards :)
May your souls find rest in HIM today and give your precious Isaac a reminder that SO MANY are praying for him.

As so many are sharing, people are learning of God's love and faithfulness through what you are so generously allowing us to live with you. Thank you for this gift. We love you. We love Isaac. And we know beyond any doubt that God's incredible plan for Isaac's life will bring glory, honor and praise beyond anything we can even begin to imagine in these moments.
With ongoing prayers for strength and healing, and praise to God for the work He is doing in and through you all.
Love you.

Jordan and Patience,
What faith and peace you have! God loves little Isaac more than anyone can fathom and HE is holding your precious son in HIS arms as we pray!
I understand what you are going through...our little girl was at Wake Med's ICN last summer for almost 5 weeks...a total surprise after a "routine" pregnancy and term delivery (38 weeks). She had severely premature lungs and was listed in critical condition and intubated for her first 3 weeks of life. The roller coaster of emotions, exhaustion, and yes, peace, are so real and raw. God is so good and HE is the GREAT PHYSICIAN! Our sweet girl is now 9 months old and a blessing to more lives than we ever realized. More people came to Christ through that experience...PRAISE JESUS!
We prayed Isaiah 43:1-3 for our girl..."Fear not, little one, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord you God."
Praying for little Isaac and every single test and level; each and every cell in his precious body; for the medical staff through each day and night; and for you as weary, yet faithful, parents to have happy moments with Isaac daily. When you are too tired to pray, just let God speak to you through songs ("Praise You in this Storm" was our "anthem") and through others' encouragement...HE will!
God bless you through such an exhausting trial...I have chills for you and will send this blog to others who know and understand!
