CRITICAL! URGENT NEED FOR PRAYER!

Our nurse called us at 6:40a this morning to tell us to get to the hospital when we could - Isaac was now in critical condition.

Here's a snapshot of what is going on:
Through the night, Isaac's carbon dioxide output from his lungs continued to decline despite interventions from the ventilator. They had paralyzed him to allow full control with the vent, but he was still retaining a lot of CO2, making his blood pH levels increasingly acidotic. The more acid your blood, the more strain on your heart. Blood pressure medicines were also restarted to aid his heart. Isaac has now been put on a jet ventilator for greater control of his breathing & to hopefully get the CO2 surplus out of his system.

His kindey levels have continued to climb in the wrong direction, indicating that his vessels are dehydrated. However, he is third spacing every bit of fluid he's given. Basically, he's full of fluid in his tissues & completely lacking in his blood stream. Because of this kidney confusion, they are not sending fluid to the bladder to be released. He's continuing to become more edemedous & is more swollen than we've ever seen. If we cannot figure out why the kidneys are failing in this way, he'll soon run the risk of becoming toxic with the retained fluid. This swelling also is creating increased difficulty to the heart.

There are also signs pointing to a fungal infection in Isaac's system along with the lung staph infection. A skin biopsy has been ordered to go along w/the muscle biopsy performed last Thursday. Doctors performed a spinal tap for infection & fluid last night. Thankfully, preliminary results are positive. Isaac's blood sugars have also been fluxing & so hydrocortizone (steroid) has been administered in hopes of regulating his pancreas' insulin output.

Isaac is something of an enigma right now. Doctors are doing everything they can to figure out what is causing these problems so as to resolve them before he begins system failure. They have been excellent & forthright with us so far. As they have said, Isaac is VERY sick. You can see their great concern on their faces.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ISAAC!!!! His state is extremely critical right now! Doctors are focusing all their attention on figuring out what is causing these problems for Isaac's kidneys, lungs, pancreas & heart right now before its too late. Isaac's state has never been more critical. Join us in lifting him up before God, asking for wisdom & a healing miracle. God still remains in control...that has not changed for one second! As Jordan & I read Isaiah 40 this morning, we were so encouraged as it reminded us that God never tires nor grows weary; His understanding is beyond what we can fathom. He knows exactly what is going on & understands exactly what we're going through in the midst of this. We need to stand firm & in the gap for Isaac. Please pray!!!!!

Patience & Jordan -
My heart's been heavy for you and Isaac since we got together in the worship center last night before practice. God is with you, and so are my prayers. Hold strong in your faith. I was reading in Joshua 3: 5-17. It follows around what you spoke about last night Jordan. My notes state that often God provides no solution to our problems until we trust him and move ahead with what we know we should do. God keeps his promises. We don't know what God has in store - we can only trust that His ways are the best. You are a powerful witness to the Lord. Hang strong. We are praying for Isaac, both of you, each Doctor, each Nurse and all the other healthcare professionals. Our prayers are with you.

I have asked some of my Christian co-workers to pray. I know they will. There is so much strength when we all join together and pray. God hears us always, but we feel His presence even more when we join all these prayers together. On the April 15th page in our Daily Bread, there's a reference to Job 2:10 "Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" It speaks of us not understanding why bad things happen to good people, but it also tells us to talk to God and argue with Him, but never blame Him. It says "God is not obligated to give us answers, but He promises us His grace." May God place His hands on Isaac today and give him the healing he needs. God, we pray this in your sweet & precious name.
Amen

Patience and Jordan,
Valerie Bauman told me about your little son, Isaac. Your blogs are a shining testimony of your faith and a glory to Jesus Christ. There are no words adequate to pray for this need, so I bring it in silence before His throne. "We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express" Rom. 8:26.

In the picture, I couldn't help but notice what looks to be the image of a hand cradled around little Issac's head. I believe that to be...the hand of God.

Be at rest. God's grip of Grace is always a sure and steady hold.

I pray that Isaac be healed, according to the finished work of Christ on the cross. I pray that the miracle will be known thruout the world and that you & Isaac will proclaim praise to God for the rest of your lives. I pray that Isaac's chart will say "Miracle healing" and even the Doctors will give thanks to God, and the unsaved will come to Jesus as a result of this very painful and difficult ordeal... In jesus' Name - Amen

Just though I'd paste a quote from your January 20 post, when you were revealing the name of your child:

"And when it seemed there was no other way, God stepped in to save Isaac's life in a miraculous way."

I am praying that those words are not only historic, but prophetic.

Love,

Praying for the 3 of you, especially Baby Isaac. Your faith is such an inspiration to so many.

We have an autistic son, and one of my favorite sayings I heard from a song is "If it's over our head, it's under HIS feet." I cling to His miraculous power in times of struggle. What a mighty God we serve.

Much love.

P&J,

God of yesterday (is the God who healed the blind, deaf, bleeding, possessed and sick) He can heal Isaac. God of Today ( is the one who has handed you this precious boy, because He knew you would love him unconditionally with the strength and faith of God) God of tomorrow (can guide Isaac through the storm into safety). You guys are being lifted up continuously with a unanimous prayer of healing for Isaac. Just Know God hasn't left your boy or forsaken him, He is holding him right now, rocking him when you can't, kissing him when you can't. Isaac is in the loving hands of God, our Father. Hold strong onto your faith, even if it's jsut a mustard seed and the mountain will move.

Love you guys,
Christal

Jordan MY FRIEND I am praying ...I am in shock that such a Godly couple should have to face such an enourmus battle. In the past, before baby Isaac, I would easily tear when seeing you on stage, for you know why. I learned how to pray from you...and praying hard I am. On Sunday at the BBQ you stated that one day Isaac would be running the isles of the worship center. He will. I beleive it with all my heart.

Father,
I pray in the name of Jesus that Your will be done in this situation. I pray that you rest Your Spirit of Comfort on Patience and Jordan's shoulder and fill their heart with a peace no one else can fill them with. Father we pray for a miracle on tiny Isaac's body, that You touch him and make him well- we pray that you provide a healing that is so evident of Your power- we stand in awe. You tell is in Isaiah 43:2-5, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweeip over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I LOVE YOU, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I AM with you."

I love you-
