Out of Surgery

Dr. Mill just came to update that Isaac has successfully made it through another surgery. A right subclavian Broviac line was established, so we still have access for meds for our sweet boy. Hopefully, this line will remain effective through the duration of Isaac's time here at UNC & will not develop any clots as he needs that access point to remain patent for future surgeries. Dr. Mill successfully placated the right side of Isaac's diaphragm. Time will tell whether the left side will require a placation as well. No problems with bleeding so far. Now we'll let our boy heal from the surgery & hopefully be able to wean him off the vent without need for a trach. As with all surgical procedures, the first 24 hours are the most critical as the body adapts to changes that have been made. Hopefully, this will be the last surgery our sweet boy needs for a while. More to come later...

I'm praying even as I type this. God bless you, little Isaac, to heal well from the surgery. God bless you, Jordan and Patience, with comfort and peace. I wish you could know how often each day I lift you up in prayer. You are surrounded by prayer by many, many people. You are well loved.

Dear Jordan and Patience,

I am so glad that Isaac has successfully made it through another "adventure". What a story he will tell one day! I've been praying for you three all day and will continue to all through the night. I hope you have time to rest and recoup from all the activities and concerns of the day and that Isaac will be able to go home very, very soon. Love, Mom L.

Praise be to God for the amazing things He has done already. If there ever was proof of God's amazing love and power, it is manifest in Isaac. In our connect group last night he was definitely on our hearts and we all were just so amazed at your faith and trust in our Lord.
I hope that were I in your shoes, I would find that same faith and trust and that it would shine as brightly and all encompassing as you both have shined for all of us.

I will be praying for that sweet boy and that this latest surgery be recovered from with no complications and that he will get peaceful healing rest. I pray also that Patience and Jordan, that you both also be granted rest and peace.
What an amazing little boy you have, and what amazing parents God has gifted him with.

You 3 have touched so many in so many ways. I for one have never prayed so much in my life. Stay strong and know that many are praying for you across this country. Our God works in strange ways. He has already done great things with Isaac. Things we have yet to learn about.

PS On a lighter note, are we all going to be invited to his first birthday? It will be the event of the year. The little fighter's 1st b-day.
