Moving Forward

Isaac has been fairly stable since the last blog post. He has several infections in his blood from the IV lines, so all lines except the femoral line have been pulled & a new catheter put over a wire in the femoral site until a new access site an be established. He is also on three antibiotics for the infections. There have been no more seizures since being put on medication for it, and the spinal tap came back clean.

The main goal right now is to extubate him hopefully on Monday. If he is not successful with extubation, we will give him a trach soon after. Whether he's extubated or trached, we're eager to get the ET tube out of him and hopefully speed up the recovery process. At least we'll be one step closer to holding him again.

Please pray for a successful extubation. Thanks!

Thank you so much for updating the blog. We appreciate your family and the way you have allowed such transparency in this time of prayer. I figured that no news was good news, but it is wonderful to hear. We'll keep praying for Isaac, and both of you. Maybe Isaac will be home with you before you know it!

Well, PRAISE GOD for this good news. I am praying for the extubation to be a success on Monday (& and extra prayer for no trach needed). You guys are fighting the good fight and blazing the trail for our family as we'll have to go through all or some of the same mid-August.
Love you in Christ,

Great news to hear after several days of constant prayer for strength and healing. We will continue to lift up his current needs and believe for a successful extubation on Monday. Can't wait for more pictures of Isaac in your arms!

Isaac sure is one tough little boy and I know where that strength comes from: 1. Our great Heavenly Father and 2. The prayers of his family and friends. I pray that he would be able to be extubated on Mon and that his infection would come under control. I also pray that you (Patience and Jordan) would be holding your little boy again soon. In Him, Nikki

Ever since I have heard about your little baby boy, I have prayed for many things for Isaac and for you both. I always pray that he will be healed and that each day he will grow stronger and healthier. I also pray for many things that I thought you would like to know. . . I pray that Mommy and Daddy will be able to hold Isaac soon and rock him to sleep in his own bedroom at home. I pray that he is greeted at C3 with thousands of kisses and hugs. I pray that you see his smile, hear his laugh watch him roll, crawl, and walk. I pray that you hear his first word. I pray that he has a 1st birthday party with lots of family and friends. I pray that Isaac and his Daddy will toss the baseball around. I pray for his first day at school. I pray for his first kiss, first love, and first date.. .marriage, kids, and grand kids. I pray for his future. Isaac is such a fighter (as you both know) and he will have such a wonderful testimony. God is great and he has big plans for your sweet boy. I will keep all of you in my prayers and especially Monday so you can hold him once again!

May God continue to bring you peace and comfort.

Praise the Lord!! As someone else said on this blog, no news always seems to be good news. Yes, many of us wake up each day and check on how Isaac is doing. We then check our blog many times during the day to make sure everything is still okay, or if we need to be on our toes in prayer. We then check it one more time before going to bed just to see if anything has changed, and to say good night to the Leinos. I began to wonder if this was tuning into an obsession, but God put on my heart, "No, this is intercession."

We will be taking time out during the day Monday to pray specifically for Isaac's extubation. I think I will also join Jason & Ashley Buldoc in praying so beautifully for his future.

We will wait with expectation to hear what God does on Monday. I keep hoping to hear the doctors come in and say, "We don't know how this possibly could have happened, but his heart has grown into a perfect heart." :-) ... well, I know God can do it... :-)

What an AWESOME GOD!!!!!!!!!
God is still healing little Isaac.
I know the twists, turns and the bumps in this journey are hard to deal with, but you all have taken it in stride and have never lost faith. That is a wonderful testament to your faith, and the faith of all that are praying. We all know that God has a plan for Isaac, Patience, and Jordan. May The lord bless you and keep you all safe through the night. Also that Monday will have great results, and that the infection in Isaac will be cured as well.
Still praying, Pam

Dear Patience and Jordan...
It's about time I write because have been keeping up religiously with your blog. My heart goes out to you and Isaac. I can't tell you how many times I have wept in prayer for you and your little miracle. It is so obvious by your steadfastness that you have tremendous faith and peace as you trust in our all-powerful God. I cannot even fathom (really) what you guys are going through…the roller-coaster of emotions and the mysteries that surround little Isaac. May God bless you richly with peace, rest, joy and a continued sense of His presence and deep abiding love.
Sincerely, Pastor Charlie Albertell

I want to echo Gina Witcher's message...each morning I wake up, I check the blog, many times throughout the day and once more before going to bed. The Leino's are always in my prayers.

A beautiful picture...the fainest light shining above his head almost looks like a halo. God's sweet angel.

We're so glad to hear of the progress. Our church is praying for you and your family. We will not stop!!

Thank you for the recent update and picture. I can see the bruises on his arms and even though he looks better, it makes me cry to think of the pain he has endured. I know his pain is nothing like the pain that Jesus Christ endured for us by dying. Just knowing that your baby is a child of God makes it all worth while and he is prayed for many times a day.
God be with you all

We just recieved the email from Sharon. We will be praying for you guys and your little one. I'll also share it with my prayer room team at the International House of Prayer if you would like. We are contending for this next generation intensely. The Lord is raising up little warriors like Isaac! Our prayer is Romans 8:11,

"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you"....Amen and Amen!!!
