Extubation attempt set for Tuesday

Isaac's extubation attempt has been moved to Tuesday morning. He's been doing really well but they just had a few more adjustments to make prior to extubation. If they are not successful with this attempt, they will give him a trach on Thursday.

Thank you for your continued prayers for Isaac!

we'll be praying that the only changes isaac encounters from now til tomorrow's extubation w/b for the good. all of his vitals will remain stable and it'll be God's hands operating a strange work through the physicians', nurses' & all other medical staffs' hands tomorrow morning.

Patience and Jordan,

Thanks for the latest update on your sweet little boy. Glad to hear he's been stable through the weekend. I'll continue to pray for a successful extubation on Tuesday, without a need for a trach if that's God's will for your little boy. Also, I'm praying you'll get to hold him again very soon! Your strength and trust in the Lord continues to inspire me for our family as we get ready to face this very similar situation in August. You three are in my prayers day and night!

Thank you for the update. I have been earnestly praying for a successful extubation ever since I read about the date, and was anxious to hear if it was done today. I will continue to pray. Nothing is too hard for God,and I will be trusting for a successful outcome.
May the Lord be with all three of you and give you a good night's rest tonight.
Love, Grandma Jordan

Thank you Father for Baby Isaac and what a blessing he and his parents have been to all of us. We have learned and grown so much, along with Jordan and Patience, as we have watched you work miracles in Isaac's life almost in immediate response to our prayers.

We come to you again, Father, to ask you for the miraculous. We pray, just as my 3 year old daughter prayed tonight at the dinner table with no prompting whatsoever, "Jesus we pray that Baby Isaac will be able to breath by himself"... We pray that Your presence would once again flood the halls of that Chapel Hill hospital and everyone would stand in awe of you and your people when they pray.

We pray for all the details you know need to happen inside his little body for this extubation to be successful. We pray he would not have to have a trach, but we pray for Your will to be done for him to progress forward.

We love you Jesus! You are so awesome! We know you have this moment in your hands.

Praying for a successful extubation, and no need for a trach. Lord we ask that you show us you loving work in little Isaac. He is strong because of you, and we all have seen the miracles you have blessed him with so far. Lord guide the medical team with Your Grace and loving touch. Amen to that prayer!

What a wonderful gift that would be for Patience. Let's all begin to pray that Isaac will be home in his crib in Clayton on Mother's Day!

To God be the glory.

I stopped to check your blog today in a meeting at work. Another woman in the meeting asked me what I was checking and I told her that I was following a blog about a baby with some severe health issues. She said "OH Is it baby Isaac?" It turns out her entire office has been praying for him too!! And my mom has many students here praying as well. We'll join the prayer that he could be home for Mother's Day!!
