3:00p Update

We got the next blood gas report back and it revealed a couple things. His lactate went down from 12 to 6. The fact that it has come down can mean one of two things. It is either a positive result of taking him off the medication Dopamine, or it is a negative result of his bowels dying, thus not being able to produce as much lactate. We just got another test back that showed there was some blood in his stool, which causes us to lean toward the negative finding in the lactate.

His CO2 is up a little bit in his blood, causing it to be more acidic. This was the problem we were facing Wednesday, but not quite as severe as before. His pH was normal again.

It's never too late for God to do a miracle! We know that God has the power to do miraculous healings, and we also know He has a plan for Isaac. So if God chooses to heal Isaac physically, this will be an amazing story for the world to see, of His power and love. If God chooses to heal Isaac by taking him to heaven, this will be also be an amazing story for the world to see, of how He used a little baby to change the hearts of people around the world towards our Savior Jesus Christ!

You are so right - it is not too late for God to perform a miracle - and we all know He has and will continue. Thanks for sharing your story and your faith in our Father. I continue to lift Isaac up in prayer!

Still praying hard!! God can still work his miracle and as you say if he choses to take him home, Isaac has already worked so many miracles in his short life on earth. Your family's story and the sharing of Isaac's story has brought so many people back to Jesus. Your faith is great.

Love you,

Isaac has already been such a great force in the lives of everyone his story has touched. The faith you both show as his parents, and in Christ, is absolutely amazing, and will forever stick with me as the kind of faith I hope to achieve.

Our God is a God of miracles. And I will continue to pray that he heals baby Isaac in a miraculous way. I will also pray that His will be done, and no matter what happens that he surrounds you with His love and His peace.

Someone on your last update said why don't we have a day of fasting and praying for baby Isaac... I think right now is a great time to start.

Jordan and Patience, I know you guys are exhausted. Please know that whenever you need to rest, do it, because hundreds are holding you and Isaac up to our great Lord whose perfect plan, we pray, is going to bring the most people into His kingdom.

Father, where there is death, you are able to bring life, and we ask that you bring full life back into Isaac's body; every muscle, tissue, organ, ligament, etc. We continue to ask that we would see your miraculous work in the land of the living.

We live in a world that has put such a cheap value on life and now we witness first hand how precious life is by how much both Patience and Jordan love their son, Isaac, to life. Millions of babies are born everyday and yet God has chosen this precious child to show each of us that He still cares deeply and initmately about every single one us. It brings me to my knees to realize what an awesome God we serve.
Our hearts beat with each of yours,

I know that God will do a miracal if it is his will. We have to have hope that he will do something! I know c3 church has been praying for baby Isaac like crazy, and by the grace of God he will be healed. When he is healed we will all know it had to come from God. There is no medicane or operatoin that they can do, so the only thing you can think is that God did the miracals, then we turn all the grace back to God!!!!

Jordan and Patience, you have shown me and thousands of others an example of an unwavering faith in God. I thank you both and your precious baby Isaac for this. It has strengthened my faith!

My extended family and I pray for your family, his medical caregivers and for Isaac's healing, be it on our planet or in God's Paradise.

"Lord Jesus, by your patience in suffering you hallowed earthly pain and gave us the example of obedience to Your Father's will. Be near us in our time of weakness and pain and sustain us by Your Grace, that our strength and courage may not fail. Heal us if it be Your will and help us always to believe that what happens to us here is of little account if You hold us in Eternal Life, my Lord and my God." Amen.

God really brings the family of God together in the most unusual ways. Jordan, you stayed in our home in Raleigh 2 plus years ago when your band from Liberty did a youth weekend at our church and today a young mom in my Bible study group sent me an email about you all. The name sounded familiar, but when I saw the picture, I knew it was you. You, Patience and Isaac have been in my prayers since I heard of this. I know that only the Lord could give you all the comfort and the strength that is so evident in your notes. Dixie Harris

Since a couple of people have stated that it would be nice to have a day of fasting and prayer corporately, let's proclaim tomorrow a day of fasting, as a body of believers united, on behalf of Isaac, Jordan, and Patience. Pass it on to anyone who maybe doesn't see the comments, that tomorrow is a day of fasting and prayer.

I will be in agreement according to God's Word, that Isaac "shall not die but live, to declare the works of the Lord" (Psalm 118:17)

Continue to pray what God's Word says about Isaac and choose to believe the "report of the Lord". His report says, "Isaac is HEALED". GLORY!

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in Isaac, permeating His life through his veins, sending healing throughout his body.

Continue to stand on the Word.....calling those things that are not as though they were.

Shalom to you and your precious Isaac.....peace, wholeness, nothing missing and nothing broken!

I agree with those who mentioned fasting and praying. I for one am standing on the side of Isaac's complete healing. I don't believe that God brought him this far to take him away now.

This baby has been the most incredible fighter I have ever seen. God has a tremendously wonderful plan for this child and I can't wait to see what that is.

Keep believing for a miracle Jordan and Patience. The storm always reaches its strongest point just before the breakthrough.

I'm looking forward to seeing him when you are finally able to bring him home.

Jordan and Patience, take each hour as is comes and we pray Satan is kept far from the hospital and your minds...we are praying for stamina for you both! May God especially surround you with love, comfort and peace in the night...those were the most difficult times for us when our little girl was in the NICU. May each blood gas be positive and show improvement. May each test result and his levels show constant healing. May Issac's precious little veins hold up to take the medication he needs! May he have comfort and strength to keep fighting...God's mercies are new every morning! May the staff bring you encouragement as you are encouraging them with your incredible faith and relationship with Christ. I know they are your "family" right now, as you feel you know every member of the medical team like a sibling. God has orchestrated every detail of Isaac's life...and what a powerful witness he will be!
Oh,I understand and feel your emotions...like a tidal wave. God is so good and His perfect love never fails....

Merciful God,
You hold all things in the palm of your hand; you guide the winds & the the rain; your knowledge far exceeds our own. Thank you for keeping all of your promises and for comforting us when we are grieving and weary and shedding tears along with us. Thank you that there is nothing in this world that you cannot identify with; thank you for giving us a purpose on this earth.
Father, thank you for finding Jordon and Patience worthy to suffer for you. Thank you for the way you are growing them through this heart-rending experience. Please see their son through the night and spare his life! Please continue to show your greatness through this tiny child and his parents. May your name be praised in all things.
Lord, "You are beautiful beyond description; too marvelous for words. Too wonderful for comprehension; like nothing ever seen or heard. Who can grasp your infinite wisdom? Who can fathom the depths of your love? You are beautiful beyond description; majesty enthroned above. I stand in awe of you."

Jordan, Patience, and anyone reading the comments,

As I was reading my children's bedtime story tonight it was about Jarius the synagogue ruler who went to find Jesus to heal his daughter, and when they got back to his home, she had died and Jesus brought her back to life.

Now after we read the story and the kids laid down, I began to think about all the stories in the Bible about Jesus healing people, and if I am correct there are NO examples of those who went to find Jesus to heal somebody for them that he did not heal them or raise them from the dead. Now why wouldn't scripture have any of those examples?

When the disciples came back to Jesus when they couldn't drive out the demons and they asked why, Jesus says, "because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there and it will move."

Now I am not a "name it and claim it" kind of person, but these are thoughts I have had after much prayer and praise and digging into scripture. I don't know what all this means, but I do know the parable of the persistent widow, and I do know people in scripture have changed God's plan by their prayers...

So needless to say I am fasting and praying tomorrow, and am beginning to believe that God really is going to teach us all something great about continual, persistent, believing prayer. I don't know that I have ever been so close with the Lord as I have this past week.

Thank you Jordan & Patience for being so worthy to be chosen by God to go through this. It has impacted my life forever.

I am so pleased to see how many people are willing to make April 3 a day of fasting for the Leino family. I too will be joining in this fast. This is such an awesome thing to see.

There is nothing more blessed than to see the Body of Christ unite for others. There is no doubt in my mind that Isaac is going to be given a clean bill of health soon. Too many prayers are being lifted to the throne room on his behalf. I know this pleases our Father. He is SOOOOOOO faithful to fulfill the petitions of His people. I've experienced the greatness of God too many times in my life to believe otherwise.

Our united faith, along with Patience and Jordan's faith, will bring about the most wonderful testimony. I am in awe over the tremendous outpouring of support for this child's healing, as well as the continued strength for Patience and Jordan.

The responses of the people on this blog strongly demonstrates the vastness of God's love. It confirms all the more what a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

Anonymous said...

In addition to what I just wrote, I agree with Gina. I have yet to find anything in scripture that indicates that Jesus ever turned anyone away who sought him for healing.

Jesus' love for us, and desire to heal us was demonstrated by every slash he received before taking up his cross. Satan thought he was simply torturing Jesus. But little did he realize that Jesus took that beating so that Jesus could declare victory over every sickness and disease the enemy could throw at mankind. Resulting in the scripture that states, "By His stripes ye were healed." From my understanding, that scripture indicates that we are already healed. It's up to us to accept and believe it.

GOD will and can do miracles. We all know this. Whatever fate He brings upon us serves as a stepping stone to conquer the next. He cannot and will not put forth anything we cannot handle. A baby is truly truly a blessing in any case, and I pray that nothing but the best is to come. There are many times when God proves doctors wrong. A miracle is yet to happen - May you be blessed beyond human comprehension and expectation. If I could offer 20 years of blessings that were to be bestowed upon me in order for you to receive this one request for your darling baby boy to come home and live out his many years , I would. I am amazed at your faith and loyalty to the Creator. You are a blessing to all. May love, prosperity, understanding, faith, financial blessings and health be shed upon your family amongst the homecoming of your child! in the name of Jesus.

Hi! Cindy Sampson, again, coworker of Lynn Leino, Issac's paternal grandmother. I'm the one with the miracle daughter with a rare chromosome disorder, trisomy 13, who will turn 6 years old, one month from tomorrow-May 4th! We, too have nearly lost her often, especially in the beginning and know what it is like to deal with momentary changes and so many different issues. God can heal Issac! He has a strong look in his photos online, as if he has a mission. I pray for God to heal him completely and for him to be a living testimony for Christ. God's word says, "Ask these things in My Name and I will give them to you."

"Your Faith has made you whole"

He hears our prayers and He will heal Isaac because we have asked for these things in His precious Name.

I continue to lift Isaac, Patience & Jordon up to You, Lord and ask for strength, wisdom, peace, comfort & healing for each of them. Thank you for each of them and I thank you in advance for all the blessings in which you plan to give this family. For Your word say, "Where two or more are gathered together, I am with you" and we believe that and praise Your name for being the ultimate healer, comforter & provider for each of us. Reach down and hold each member of the Leino family in Your hands and give them the reassurance that You are with them. Continue to amaze man with the miraculous healing of Isaac from Your hands. I pray these things in Jesus Name, Amen.

Isaac has been on my mind all day. I just know in my spirit that he is here to stay.

It has been so wonderful reading the words of encouragement from those who have the faith that moves mountains. That is what God expects us to do. We are to stand on His Word and not fear evil reports.

God is not a man that He should lie. If it's in His Word, then it is the truth. God has no other choice than to fulfill his promises in our lives when we confess his Word over our circumstances.

What a little blessing Isaac is. I know he will realize this when he becomes old enough to understand.

I, like everyone else, am waiting in anticipation to see when his victory will finally be declared. I also hope that through this miracle, any doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff who do not know the Lord will come to know Him .
