Morning News

Through the events of yesterday & last night, we were once again provided peace amidst the madness, knowing that the ultimate results of Isaac's health are out of our hands & resting in the palms of Almighty God. He is not ignorant of our cries nor Isaac's condition, but carries us all through the storm. And while we may not always understand His hand, we can always trust His heart. So we continue to pray & intercede on Isaac's behalf, knowing that in the end whatever answer comes is for a purpose from a God worthy of our trust.

Our sweet boy made it through the night. Once a third medication, dopamine, was added, Isaac's blood pressure stabilized in the 40 map range. He's been peeing like a racehorse, slowly pulling the edema from his body. However, around 5a, he spiked a fever of 102. Cultures have been sent from all points of access in his little body & until they results come back, we've added a broad spectrum anti-fungal medication to go along the the three antibiotics he's currently on. Right now, Isaac has a low grade fever & continues to hold steady with his blood pressure. We'll be watching his levels closely throughout the day. While a fever is not good, this at least give us more direction in trying to find the root cause of his sickness. Hopefully the cultures will give the answers we're looking for. Our prayer is for strength for Isaac to get through this bend in the road, overcome whatever infection may be brewing within, & to stabilize more on his own. Also, the medical team mentioned trying to gain new access in his left subclavian vein so that we can remove the femoral central line that has been in place for several weeks. This would also help with circulation in that leg as it has been poor since Friday.

In short, Isaac made it through the night. He now has a fever which points to some type of infection within. He's finally responding to the blood pressure meds & is peeing efficiently. Goals for today: possibly gain new access, determine type & site of infection, gain pH balance, continue to diurese without depleting hydration within his veins (basically pee off the right fluid). We'll post again later today with his progress.

I will be praying that they find the root cause of Isaac's fever, and can gain another access for meds, and that he continues to loose the right amount of fluid. And I will pray for strength for the both of you! God bless you!

Since learning about baby Issac from Betty Ann Tilson, I have continued to follow your blog and look forward to any new postings. Please know that my husband and I as well as one of my co-workers have the three of you in constant prayer. From personal experience my family is well aware that prayer works and God is continually in charge.

Paitience & Jordan,
I haven't posted lately, but I've been reading and praying. We talked about peace last night in our small group and the entire time I could not get y'all and the song "It is Well With My Soul" off of my mind. Pray that song today as I'm sure you do often. In case you didn't know the history, the man who wrote this had just lost his fortune and his children. Yet, he stood strong and penned the words as he passed by the very spot where he lost his girls. If that isn't peace, then it's not defined properly! May the peace of God be with you as we pray little Isaac through another difficult time. He be home with you soon, I can see it!
Love you!
~Mary

A "God worthy of our trust." You continue to build up the body of Christ through your sufferings. What a great gift you and Isaac are to us. Day by day God is glorified through your story, the precious Lamb of God is made known to us by each mountain you must climb and each valley you have traversed, and the Holy Spirit has been our comfort and our guide as we pray for your family. Amazing grace, unlooked for and unknown, until God's mighty hand moved upon this one small family. Thank you for remaining faithful, even in the midst of dispair. We pray on.

Through everything you share, I am constantly awed by the complexity of the human body. Who knew how much we all go through just to live from moment to moment? Praying again, that our loving and merciful God will touch sweet Isaac and bring him through this latest storm. May He comfort you with peace and rest.
With much love,
Karen

We Praise You God for your works and our answered prayers. Though there are more prayers being lifted up on this family, we are thankful for the ones You've answered and grateful to You for the ones that are yet to be answered - in Your time. You are such an Awesome God. A never changing and never ending God who loves us all and tends to all of us in a way that will Glorify You. Through You, all things are possible - and again, I thank You for the peace you bring amongst us with knowing that.

I am praying for your little one - I have a daughter a few weeks older than Isaac and my heart just goes out to you as a mother of a helpless baby. But God is sovereign and He loves your baby more than you do - if you can even fathom that! I pray that your experience leads many to the Lord!

Who knew that one little sweet baby boy could touch so many lives? He has done so much to show God's love and grace. We are still praying very hard for all three of you. My heart hurts deep inside when I read about a new challenge your sweet boy must face. But I admire his strong will and his fight for life. He is the best example on how to live life. . . a lot of faith in God, fight for what you want, and enjoy and thank God for EVERYDAY that you are given. It is truly a gift. I pray that you have many, many, many more days (years) with your sweet little boy.

May God bring you peace and rest.

Father God, I pray right now for Your healing touch within this little body of the precious angel, Isaac. I plead with You for restoration and removal of all infection, regulation of PH levels and blood pressure, continue fluid reduction in his little body, successful feeding/nutrition, strength, regulated breathing and continued weening of his meds and vent. For we know not what Your purpose is for Isaac, but we thank you almighty God for him and his parents. I thank you in advance for the miraculous healing and answered prayers in which You will answer for all of us. We lift Isaac up to you God right now and thank you for his life and the impact that he has had on so many that have come to know and love him in such a short time. Continue to provide strength, wisdom and peace to Patience and Jordon. May all three of them feel the peace of God come over them and reassurance that You will see them through this storm. For You are faithful!!!

We love you Lord, and we ask all these things in Your Name, Amen.

I am not alone in anxiously awaiting the newest updates on sweet little baby Isaac. I have learned an unexplainable amount about the thought process of true Christians through your story. Patience and Jordan - I always knew you were special. You both have always had a glow of peace and comfort in the strong foundation of your faith. Baby Isaac has done so much work for God in his short little life already, and it would not have been possible had he not been chosen to be your child. Isaac's story is all part of God's plan to reach people across the world. God certainly knew what he was doing then, as He does now. I will continue to pray for the three of you daily, and patiently await the next update. Thank you for telling Isaac's story so honestly and openly. God is working miracles through you guys, and we are all so very proud of you.

Love, Tammy Marquess

Each one of us continue to pray for all three of you and especially little Isaac. God is working as is evidenced in Isaac's peeing his head off. :))))
May our GREAT and MIGHTY God continue to hear our cries and answer according to His purposes.

Father, the day has come and gone...and no news is usually good news. Baby Isaac had a rough night last night, and we thank you for once again hearing our prayers, and calming things down for him. He is still struggling, though, with some sort of infection (like you don't know this) :-) and we ask that you would reveal to the doctors what it is and what to do; or heal the infection yourself. We also pray for his heart. Strengthen it with Your power.

We (all who come and read this blog and pray) come to you again tonight like the friends who cut a hole in a roof and lowered their friend down for you to heal. Father, we believe, and we ask that you will restore Isaac to wholeness. There is so much going on with him... we ask that you would heal completely.

Now that we've asked Father, help teach us all to pray for the lost world around us continually and as fervently as we pray for Isaac. Help us to care and to love a world we don't know as much as we love and care about Isaac (a baby we have never met) and his future.

We love this baby Lord and want to see you do a crazy miracle... maybe just because we know You can do it, and we just have never seen one this close and personal.

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry... Ps. 34:15

Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.. Ps. 28:6

He is close to all who call on him sincerely. He fulfills the desires of those who reverence and trust him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them. Ps. 145:18-19

I love the Lord because he hears my prayers and answers them. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe! Ps. 116:1-2

We love you

I feel God's presence in Isaac's life right now. I felt a breeze across my cheek and it made me think immedidately of Isaac. Three antibiotics can do quite a number on the Gut and other organs. I am glad he's peeing like a race horse as of yesterday. I pray that the other numbers will go in the positive direction and that his fever will come down.

Your sweet baby Isaac has touched more lives in his 10+ weeks here than most of us do in a lifetime. The faith and trust you two have in our Almighty God is a testimony to us all. So much good has come out of your trying experience. Thank you for being an inspiration and an example to us all. Know that we pray constantly for the three of you.
God Bless You!
