One O.R. Trip + Two Procedures = Progress

As you know, Isaac will return to the O.R. tomorrow for a tracheostomy. While under general anesthesia, he will also have a G-tube put in place to help with feeds. In light of his cleft palate, the pending trach, & having an ET tube in his mouth since birth, the medical team has wisely determined that a G-tube would most benefit Isaac at this point for feeds. Having never been fed orally combined with the risk of food aspiration, the G-tube will allow him to receive nutrition directly into his stomach & thus optimizing his nutrition. Once Isaac's palate is repaired, we'll be able to work on teaching him to swallow & feed by mouth. We're thrilled that Isaac will be able to undergo both procedures in one trip to the O.R., thanks to the efforts of his doctors in coordinating the two.

We are deeply grateful for the excellent medical team caring for our sweet boy. They continue to give not only phenomenal care & advice, but also heartfelt compassion & care for our family. Join us in prayer for Isaac's fifth round of surgeries - for smooth procedures & quick recovery. Both the trach & G-tube are steps forward towards home.

Father,
Tomorrow, may your eyes be their eyes, your hands be their hands, a glimpse of your wisdom be their wisdom, and when all is said and done, may Issac come out stonger and healthier than ever before. Thank you in advance for what you are about to do in his precious life and for incredible parents trusting him in the Master's hands. Amen!

Father, I am just sitting in awe of you right now... of how far Issac has come in just a few weeks. What a precious precious life.

Protect him tomorrow from ANYTHING that could go wrong. Give the doctors wisdom and steady hands and optimal conditions for a perfect and miraculous surgery. May the doctors and nurses continue to stand in awe of you. My many come to know You and maybe even come to C3 because they need a place like C3. I praise You for all you have done and are still doing through this situation.

You are so awesome, and I stand with arms high and heart abandoned...

Praise God for the wonderful news. And these pics of baby Isaac are so wonderful - he's such a great looking baby; with such gorgeous eyelashes.
Last nite, I was thinking of how people have impact (this from C3 church last nite). Baby Isaac has impacted so many lives - unknowingly by him - that it just filled me with amazement at how God is using Him at such a young age. Using him to bring people to prayer, to grow in faith and in so many different areas. And the great way the two of you, Jordan & Patience, humble yourselves to the Lord during this journey in being such faithful servants to our ever merciful, loving Father.
May Peace be with you all today and the following days of recovery while God continues to work in baby Isaac. And Praise God for giving such a medical team that takes all of you in their hearts; may they be feeling the "heart" of God as well as they see His works.

Father, we are agreeing with Your Church this morning on Isaac's behalf. You are in complete control of the surgery, the medical staff & the outcome. Thank you because by this technology we are able to speak as one tongue, one mind, one spirit, one body.

In Jesus' precious name, a name that is above all names & under which every knee will bow & every tongue confess, that He is Lord for the glory of the Father. Amen.
