Out of surgery! Now, a new phase in prayer...

Isaac is back from surgery & everything went well. He'll be kept still & sedated over the next few days to allow both the stoma (hole for the trach) & G-tube tract to mature & heal. As with most surgical procedures, the first 24 hours are most critical. The areas of concern following these two procedures are infection, stability of the airway, and stomach pulling away from suture site. So far, Isaac's holding steady & cute as can be without the tape on his face.

Jesus,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for a great surgery! This has been such a long road and we know it is not over, but Isaac is progressing. You are so wonderful Lord. We pray now for protection against any infection, stability of his airway, and that you would keep his stomach from pulling away from suture site. You have been so faithful and we know you will continue to be.

Please give Jordan and Patience peaceful rest tonight. Thank you for them and their perseverance. Especially give Patience an added portion of your blessing as she has sat so faithfully at the hospital for so many weeks without almost any break. Show us how we can bless them.

We love you Lord!

Thank you, precious Lord, for the successful surgeries today. Please touch Isaac's body and help the surgeries heal without any complications. We are so grateful for all of the answered prayers and ask that you continue to bless Isaac and Patience and Jordan. Father, please give them a good night's rest tonight and give them the strength they need to continue this long journey. We are thankful that you said "my strength is sufficient for you", and that "You will not put more on us than we can bear."
Thank you for sustaining them every time the going gets really rough. You are our rock and our salvation and we could'nt live without You.
My love to you, Jordan and Patience, Grandma J.

Wow...Issac really has been through quite a bit in his eleven or so weeks of life here on this earth.

I am pleased and thankful that Issac is doing better. I know that there is more to come and there still will be intense moments and trials.

Also, Patience...how are YOU doing??? I saw Jordan at C3 on Saturday evening (April 28th) and asked him about how everything's been going and that I've been checking out this blog when Issac's been in my thoughts. I do trust that YOU are getting enough rest as well. It's good to know that you do have family and friends who are there for you.

Be blessed and I'll be in contact with you again later.

Sincerely,
Gregory <><

Patience,

Once again thank you for all the updates. We continue lifting up Isaac in our prayers. Yesterday I met a family who went through the same situation your little guy is going through. The baby's name is Miracle (go figure). Miracle had a heart surgery 6 days after she was born had a number of complications but she made it through. She had another open heart surgery when she was 1 1/2. SHe's about 3 years old right. The family has 4 kids all together. Well this little girl runs and plays just as hard if not harder than her sibblings. I was very encouraged to hear that and shared your story with this family. I'm so thankful that you have such a strong support system where you are and want to remind you we are here thinking about you and praying for you too.

Love,
Fernanda

Praise God for all He has done. This is another milestone reached in the awesome plan that God has for Isaac's life (and the two of you). As today passes and the 24 hour goal is met, I pray that the 2 of you will be able to get a good nights rest and that Isaac will continue to rest and heal.

Blessings from the Harrell's

p.s. He is such a cutie!!!! Thanks for sharing such sweet photos w/ us.

Blessings and prayers continue for both of you and that beautiful son of yours. Thanks for taking the time to keep us all informed of his progress. I know that many of us start and end every day with prayers for Isaac, and God is listening. We will continue to be faithful in our prayers as we petition our Father to be faithful in His care of Isaac.

I am so glad that Isaac is doing so well. I pray that this is the last of the procedures he will have to endure.

Jordan, I just want to say that last Wednesday night when you led praise and worship, I was in awe over the glow you had. Your faith, as well as Patience's, is such a wonderful example of how every Christian should be. You demonstrate daily the peace that God brings us when we make Him the center of our lives. You are the perfect example of how every Christian should be. I know that pleases God immensely.

Keep fighting the good fight. God is definitely in control, and it shows!
