Our Thanks

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this week & who came out for Isaac's Memorial Service, particularly those who traveled long distances to get there. We were overwhelmed by the love & kindness from everyone, coming to celebrate the life of a little boy they'd never met in person. Isaac has left an indelable mark on all our hearts.

We will write more in the days ahead & try to post the slideshow from his service, but for now, we're away for a much-needed vacation. Thank you again to you all - for your love, your words, your cards, your gifts, & for simply standing with us through this journey.

I don't know if this would be something you would be interested in at all or may have already heard of, but I thought that I would let you know anyway. In our newspaper a few weeks ago, there was an article that I read about a place called "Faith's Lodge" in Wisconsin. It is a place for parents who have lost a child or who have seriously ill children to go. Here is a link to the article if you want to check out what they have to say about the lodge:

http://www.startribune.com/462/story/1316771.html

They only ask people who stay to make a $25 donation, but they say that no one will be turned away for financial reasons. The owners themselves lost a daughter and they wanted to do something in her name and in her memory, so they created this lodge for parents to go and grieve and be together and to be with families going through the same thing, if they choose to.

I hope that this information is helpful and that the plans would work out if this is something you choose to do!

The link that I tried to put on didn't work, but you can search for the story on:

www.startribune.com

In the search box put Faith's Lodge to read the article in the paper or you can check out the website:

I want to thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your faith in God and His ultimate plan have helped me in my faith walk through a loss of a young life in my own family. I have contiually been amazed and inspired by your walk with God through such a trying time, and even more so that even through the pain and grieving of your loss you have done it so publically. Your family has touched more lives than you may ever know, and in reading other's posts I have seen that your walk has brought others back to the Lord and for that I praise God.
May God continue to provide you with newness each day and the comfort and strength to face the road ahead, and may Isaac's legacy continue to touch lives around the world. Thank you again for sharing yourselves, and the awsomeness of our loving Father. My prayers continue to be with you.

Patience & Jordan,

I'm so happy to hear that you guys are taking a well deserved vacation.

I pray to God that he will continue to comfort you thru this time and days ahead.

Just as an fyi, my husband, son and I also took some time off when Haniel passed away. It was much needed and very helpful. However, I must say that coming back home hit me very hard, so please pray alot a prepare yourselves to walk to a house full of memories. Now, it's been seven months and Haniel's room remains the way he left it, and now I can say that it helps me to keep it like this. I love going in there and just spending a couple of minutes speaking with him. I know it might sound weird, but I believe he see's and hears me from up above.

I will continue to check your blog, and of course waiting to see Isaac's slideshow.

God Bless You!

I hope the two of you are getting some rest. I am keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers. I just wanted to thank you again for writing this blog. I also wanted to thank you for talking about your church and your church family. My family and I went to services on Saturday night and I just wanted to say that the experience was awesome. Everyone enjoyed it!! I have not felt that close to God in a long time. I left with a great feeling and had a wonderful time learing the songs and got a great message from the sermon. The sermon touched me so much that I had tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. I definetly could feel Jesus in my heart!! Thanks so much for your inspiration as it has brought me back to church. I have been without Jesus for a while and it is a great feeling to have him back in my heart. Thanks again and I hope to make C3 a part of my family. Thank you for the inspirations and I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Jordan and Patience, this is the only thing that has been coming to my mind since I heard of sweet Isaac's death. It is a song by Natalie Grant. I am praying for you both.

-Elle

Two months is too little.
They let him go.
They had no sudden healing.
To think that providence would
Take a child from his mother while she prays
Is appalling.

Who told us we’d be rescued?
What has changed and why should we be saved from nightmares?
We’re asking why this happens
To us who have died to live?
It’s unfair.

This is what it means to be held.
How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know that the promise was
When everything fell we’d be held.

This hand is bitterness.
We want to taste it, let the hatred numb our sorrow.
The wise hand opens slowly to lilies of the valley and tomorrow.

This is what it means to be held.
How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know that the promise was
When everything fell we’d be held.

If hope is born of suffering.
If this is only the beginning.
Can we not wait for one hour watching for our Savior?

This is what it means to be held.
How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know that the promise was
When everything fell we’d be held.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know, that the promise was when everything fell, we'd be held

I would have given anything to be at the memorial for Isaac and be able to witness just a few of the lives he touched.
As you go away for a while, I pray God's hand upon you for protection, REST, and renewal of your spirit with joy and peace.
Isaac left a legacy to usall.
Love you and continuing to pray for you,

My name is Ashley Robinson, I am so sorry to hear about your precious baby Issac. He is now with my sweet baby Ella Jean in the presence of our Holy God. My baby Ella Jean entered Heaven on March 22 2007, she was just 15 days old. We stayed at the RMH in Chaple Hill and there I met the sweetest girl she was there with her baby boy. That girl was you!! I would love to talk to you more, please e-mail me. Again I am so sorry to hear about sweet baby Issac, but I believe that Issac is free and whole just like my sweet baby Ella Jean. I love you both and you are in my prayers, please keep me in yours. Hope to hear from you soon. Ashley

Enjoy your vacation. Corey and I are sorry we were out of state and unable to make it to Isaac's memorial service. If you do end up posting the slide show, we would love to see it. We are also planning on making a donation to Isaac's memorial fund at the beginning of October.

The 2 of you and your amazing baby have touched all of us. You will never know how many people have learned to lean on Jesus because of your amazing journey with Baby Isaac. May you have a relaxing time away...you have been thru so much. May God bless you richly for your faith and trust in him.

How awesome it is that you didn't let this chance to be a witness pass you by. How easy it would have been to curl up into a ball upon hearing about your boy's situation, but instead you seized the chance God gave you to proclaim His grace, mercy and love. It reminds me of John Piper's book, Don't Waste Your Life. Little Isaac's life accomplished more for the Lord in a few short months than many of us accomplish in close to a century upon this earth. Praise God for your faithfulness!

Enjoy your time away.

Thank you for sharing baby Issac and your faith with us. My name is Cathy and my sister Jackie Penny told me about Issac and had asked to pray for him on numerous occasions. I am sad that you are missing your little boy but I rejoice that he is with our Lord. I pray that your hearts will soon heal and that your faith will increase. I am dealing with a new grandson born July 31st at 1 pound 6 oz. He is in the NICU at MUSC in Charleston. We are blessed to live so close to such an awesome NICU. So far he is progressing but it's a day by day thing and he struggles with some of the same issues that Issac had. Please keep him (Bryson) in your prayers. Again thank you for sharing. Your story is such an inspiration and I will continue to pray for you.

Patience & Jordan-
Please know that you two and precious baby Isaac have touched our lives forever. I am so deeply sorry for your loss and know that there are no words to comfort you all. I pray that God touches your hearts and calms the pain. May Isaac's beautiful smile continue to shine down on all of us. Please continue to say prayers for Shelby as she approaches the next surgery. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope you enjoy yourselves.
I just want to let you know that you have served as a huge inspiration to me. I know a friend of yours, Eric. He's a youth pastor at my church, and he told us about this. I've been praying for you ever since I heard, and wish you all the best.

Jordan and Patience;
I also attend Riva Trace with our youth pastor Eric.
It makes me so incredibly sad to hear about such a heart-wrenching story. I just wanted to let you know that people hundreds and thousands of miles away care about you and your family. My prayers are with you and I can't imagine anything inspiring me than your dear baby Isaac did. God sent him to us all for a reason, and I am more than certain that he saved the lives of people by bringing them to God.
I'm hope you enjoy your break; God knows you both deserve it.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I hope that you know you are loved very much. You are loved by your friends, by God, and even people who don't know you personally. If I could put into words how truly srry I am for your loss and how absolutely changed I am by this journey your son has brought me on, I would. I cannot thank you enough times.

Know that you are not alone. Many here have shared in your journey. I, like many of them, appreciate what you have done on this blog. Many more will rely on it for a release. Even more will know they are not alone.

My wife and I lost a day old son. Each of our loses (yours, ours those that have written, and those that haven't been spoken) are unique. Some think it's the worse thing to happen. Others know of the lifelong miracle joy from such a short time here on earth. I know I learned more about life in one day than years of joy and strife. Others go through what I cannot comprehend.

Thank you from untold others who will look at this journey and allow their hearts and souls to be opened.
