The Touch Felt 'Round The World

Jordan & I eagerly await the day when we can tell Isaac of all God did in his life, of the people his journey has touched, & how far reaching his story has traveled. If you've been impacted by his story or follow this blog, we ask that you post your name, city, state &/or country following this post so that we can show Isaac one day of all the lives he's touched. Even if you usually don't leave any comments or don't want to put your name, please let us know if you've been following his journey by letting us know where you're from. USA, India, Guam, UK...it'll be amazing to see where his story has traveled!

Baby Isaac and my son Jaydon shared the same neonatologist. Dr. Marty McCaffrey took care of Jaydon in San Diego back in 2001. As soon as I read his name in the earlier blog entries, I did a little research to confirm he was the same doctor. Then I knew Isaac would be okay.

I have been following your story every day from the very beginning, thanks to my mom's friend. She also puts an update on Isaac in our church newsletter that is sent out to every church member's home. As a nurse in a maternal fetal medicine (perinatologist)office in Indianapolis, IN, I see patients every day who are sent to us because their baby is facing some kind of challenge, like Isaac. Rarely do I get the opportunity to be updated daily on the progress and set backs once these precious babies are born. Thanks to your dedication to this journal about Isaac, I have new insight as to what my patients are going to be experiencing. Not only have you helped to make me a better nurse, but you have given me a new appreciation for the life God has given each of us, no matter what path we are taken down. The 3 of you have touched more lives than you will ever know through this journey. You have given so much to all of us, just by sharing your little blessing (well, getting big now!) with the world. What a living example you are of how God wants each of us to spread his word and turn to him in times of both joy and sorrow. Please continue to keep all of us posted as your time allows. This journal will be such a gift to Isaac some day. Continued prayers and many blessings!

To Jordan and Patience, my dearly loved Grandchildren,
I was so happy and thankful when I heard your were taking Isaac home. I prayed that the Lord would be with you, strengthen you and help you in every way as you made this change in your responsibilities and care of Isaac. I was sorry to hear of the setback and hope Isaac will be home again soon.
As I pray for the two of you and Isaac, I realize that none of us know the reasons we are sometimes taken through very deep valleys, but we know the Lord is with us. He promised to "never leave us nor forsake us." Isaac is His precious child and I'm sure the three of you are instruments God is using to bring many into a closer walk with the Lord and some to be spiritually born into His family.
I heard a dear Pastor tell of the birth of his daughter who was a Down's Syndrome child. At first it seemed he was taken to "Holland rather than Italy." She was 5 years old when he was talking and he said he now calls her his "Glory Child" because she brought him into such a deeper and closer relationship with the Lord Jesus.
It may not be until we are in heaven and see Jesus face to face that we will understand all the blessings God has brought about through Isaac and the faithfulness of the two of you.I Corinthians 13:12 "For now we see through a glass darkly; but then, face to face; now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known."
God is "working all things together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose,"---that we might "be conformed to the image of His Son---" Romans 8:28 and part of v. 29.
I love the three of you and hold you deeply within my heart. Let's remember, however, that the one who loves you most is our Savior and Lord, the dear Lord Jesus Christ.
With much love, Grandma/Nana Jordan

Sweet little Isaac,

Your parents are friends of a friend and I will probably never meet you but you have humbled my heart greatly by reminding me of the great power of our mighty God. You have made me appreciate and treasure every little moment I have with my own sweet boy; each dirty diaper, the cries in the middle of the night just as much as the smiles and the ahh-goos. What a blessing and a gift you are. It's amazing how much God can work through a baby, no wonder He chose to send His own son as one.

Isaac,
You are very blessed to have parents that love the Lord. I know that they will teach you to love Him, too. Many people prayed for you over the first weeks of your life, but it was our faithful God who took care of you and kept you alive when you were so sick. He loves you-- and I know He will be present in your life all the days that you live. Even as a small baby, you were a testimony to the faithfulness of our God.

What an amazing story for such a little boy. Your baby Isaac has touched so many people and in such a short little life. Thank you for allowing me to share in this venture, even if just through this blog. I feel as if I have shared some of the pain. Not only is Isaac and amazing little boy, but his parents are pretty amazing too. I'm not sure that I would be as strong, but I do pray that I will be if needed. Thank you,

Isaac,

I have been following your story since you were two weeks old. My husband and I had a baby girl a few weeks before you were born. She has some minor abnormalities with her kidney but nothing compared to what you have faced. I will be forever touched by your resiliency and the faith of your mom and dad. You are blessed to have such amazing Christian parents and I know that they know how blessed they are to have you in their arms.

In Christ,

Pai, Jordan, and Isaac,
I think I told you but I work at a ministry in Nashville and the girls that live here have been faithfully praying for Isaac. Because of their situations they do not have access to the internet but I have often printed off pictures and stories for them. Anyway quite a few of them have moved out of the home but some of those who are still here gave me permission to post their names and homestates so that you can know who else was praying. So here goes:
Lisa, Wisconsin
Megan, Missouri
Carly, Michigan
Raven, Mississippi
Patty, Wisconsin
Corrin, Oregon
Lauren, Texas
Beth, Minnesota
Brittany, Oklahoma
Heather, Michigan
Sarah, Texas
Amie, Texas
Jodi, Michigan
Krista, Virginia
Christina, Texas
Kelly, Georgia

Love ya lots and so excited about Isaac!

I have followed your blog since my cousin, Robin Porter, who attends your church sent out the first email requesting prayer. I have had it bookmarked for a long time now and when I pull down my favorites, I make sure every now and then to check in and see how everything is going.

My daughter was born 5 week premature and spent 11 days in special care on oxygen and iv with a tube in her throat for feedings. I know what I went through worrying about everything with her....and can't begin to imagine what it has been like to be in your shoes.

I must admit I have been near tears when reading your blog...often times just overcome with emotion at everything sweet Isaac has been through...but I think also at the amazing faith you both have had through everything...and what a testament to God!

May God continue to richly bless your family and help you through everything to come!

I sell custom child seat covers on ebay and also have a 'journal' from when my husband was diagnosed with cancer for a third time. A customer and friend of yours (I believe) sent me the link to your journal and on occasion I come to see how baby is doing. He is so cute! For your log, I found your story first while living in SO. Cal., but after hubby passed away, we moved to Colorado--so from me you have 2 locations lol.
